Visual arts exhibition by Laia Ventayol-García at the Pilar and Joan Miró Foundation from Palma de Mallorca

On September 18 the Pilar and Joan Miró Foundation in Palma de Mallorca presented the exhibition Ecotrò, by Laia Ventayol-García. This exhibition has been curated by Aina Pomar and deals with a visit to Jeju Island, a trip that Laia Ventayol-García undertook willing to interact with the ‘haenyeo’ community. The ‘haenyeo’ are the women divers in South Corea. They work from ancestral knowledge and techniques around harvesting seafood and apnea breathing. The exhibition may be visited untill March 2025.
